Abuelo y Abuela

Simone enjoyed a visit with her Abuelo and Abuela last week. Abuela stayed the entire week; cleaning, diapering and comforting Simone. Simone loved to listen to her sing Spanish lullabies. Abuelo came in for the weekend.

He surprised all of us by agreeing to hold little Simone while she still weighs less than ten pounds!

Grammy and Grandpa's First Visit

Grammy and Grandpa were totally goo-goo eyed over their very first grandchild. They just couldn't get enough of her. Grammy took over most of Nancy's night-time duties of diapering and rocking. I think she could have just stayed awake for the rest of her life from the high she was getting from Simone.

Thank you Grammy and Grandpa for sharing our love of Simone and for all the help that you gave us.

Jessica Simone Fernandez

We welcomed Jessica Simone Fernandez to our world on Monday, December 5th at 2:53p.m. Simone weighed 7 lbs., 13.9 oz. and measured 20 3/4 inches in length. She was born at Piedmont hospital in Atlanta Georgia after a whirlwind 12 hour labor. Both Becca and Simone are doing wonderfully recovering from the natural childbirth.

The birth was a wonderful experience thanks to Nancy's coaching of Becca, support from our friend Barb Fox and our labor and delivery team, Heather and Wendy. We want to thank everyone for their good wishes.
